LYRICS by Greg Barnhill/Ted Cerney

Ever since you've gone
Seems the days carried on
Like they didn't even know
That we were here
Time has a way of turning blue into grey
But the memories that you left won't disappear

And if we could run back
To the place we started
Would it be the same girl
Would it all have changed
And if we could take back
Words we said in parting
Would it take the hurt awa
y

Chorus:
'Cause there was a time
When you said you were mine
And I thought that you meant it forever
Some dreams survive
Even after good-bye
Why didn't ours come true
So what am I supposed to do
Oh, after loving you

And there've been miles
And still all of the while
I've been thinking
About the ways things could've been
Our love was strong
Tell me where did we go wrong enough
To bring the never ending to an end
And if we could take back
Words we said in parting
Would it take the hurt away

Chorus:'Cause there was a time
When you said you were mine
And I thought that you meant it forever
Some dreams survive
Even after good-bye
Why didn't ours come true
So what am I supposed to do
Oh, after loving you
After loving you

After loving you

Chorus (repeat)

"CECILIA" from Jason Everly's album, No Ordinary Music (see #721, #722)

On tracks #6 and #13, "CECILIA", adds Caribbean color to the music of this album, along with the harmonies of dad, Phil Everly. The two tracks offer 2 versions of the song, more fun to move rhythmically.

LIVE VIDEO RECORDING from Jason's performance in Germany:
"Jason Everly performs the Simon & Garfunkel classic, 'Cecilia' on Die Aktuelle Schaubude on German TV. And while his famous father, Phil, is not there in person, you can hear him on backing vocals!"Youtube

PHIL EVERLY, ever active, in later years at his own pace to enjoy himself, whether with family or friends. This thread has many sweet moments of Phil's generosity and caring interest in others.

On the short video clip attached Phil is seen singing the song and beckoning to the audience to sing louder. Phil is really enjoying himself with his audience. Also on the clip is a short interview with Don.

"Who's Gonna Keep Me Warm" featured on the album Phil Everly

Phil Everly placed at least three solo singles (Dare to Dream Again, "She Means Nothing to Me") on the charts in the early '80s. This one, "Who's Gonna keep Me Warm", is [seemngly] overproduced in the way only middle-of-the-road early-'80s pop can be, with strings and synths and lots of background singers in the mix. But there's no mistaking that tenor voice.
