Everly Brothers Albums

No sorry Chris. I have seen it but thought it was just another album repeating stuff from other albums. I had no idea other versions were out there. I have not seen this on e bay either but I still have one contact left from the old days who might have it
Colin I can't remember where I got this album either, or how long I have had it. Quite a good well written back cover, aimed at teenagers with how it is written. Who ever had it before me wrote on the centre disc her name and on the inner sleeve "Berlin March 1973, it must have reminded the lady of a time she was there and maybe that is when she saw the Everly Brothers. The vinyl is in excellent condition and the sleeve in a good condition.

The songs on the album are:
Side 1
Gone, Gone Gone
So How Come (No one Loves me)
Always it's You
Silver Threads and Golden Needles
That'll be the Day
All I have to do is Dream

Side 2
Made to Love
That's Just too Much
Memories are Made of This
Oh Boy
A Change of Heart
Ain't that Loving you Baby

I will try to find the #takes from this album on site first, then look on youtube, I will post the ones which are different from the recorded version if I can find them Colin and anyone else who may be interested.

Thanks Chris
It would be interesting to know whether some of the versions are those we have not heard before because in most of these cases we have only ever had the final version issued
As I was saying to Ricardo some time ago it would be nice to hear how they built to the final version of some tracks. We had that intro to My Elusive Dreams on the CD Box Set Chained to a Memory and there must be quite a bit of that in the vaults although perhaps given the genuine interest after all these years they have deleted them or just do not think it is worth the trouble. I have no idea really but it seems safe to say now that we probably have heard everything of note
Very interestingly no sign of any vinyl around at all now in the charity shops and car boots here in Swansea. Well very little and nothing to get excited about. My purchases now are limited to perhaps one or two a week. And the presence of so much stuff on e bay has drastically reduced the value of a lot of vinyl. I was reading through an old collectors book of 15 years ago and some of the Everlys albums were valued at 20/30 in top nick. You can get some for under a fiver now and it is much the same for other artists. I have been looking for vinyl of Elvis films for years and did manage to pick up a job lot in a charity shop about 6 weeks ago. I only paid a fiver for the lot and they were valued at 20/30 15 years ago
I often go onto a site in America called Amoeba Records to see if there is anything on offer which is out of the ordinary but nothing has emerged. I have actually been in the shop in San Francisco about 10 years ago when we visited the City. Very interesting day out in the Haight, lots of memorabilia about in the rundown shops there. My daughter likes the hippy stuff like the Grateful Dead and we visited their house. A bit creepy in the Park and some there look like they have been there since 1967!!!
Hello Chris
I found the album in the loft this morning but I have not played it. So much trouble to set it all up now with my amp and as I said earlier the tracks just seem to have been pulled together from a number of sources. I just bought it to add to my collection I suppose as there are many compilations out there and I pick them up whenever I see them which is not often these days
If you play it I would be interested to learn if there are variations in the tracks
Mothers Day meal now. Never any chat about music as the wife is not interested. My daughter does do some recording with a local band now and again as she played with them in the pubs locally for many years before my grand daughter was born. They are still going. Sadly I don't like any of the stuff.
With reference to Page 2 #16 which shows the link for the album "Living Alone" one of Phil's solo albums. It appears there is a version of this album with the one which did not make the cut "Too Far Too Fast"

It is attached here:
The Paris Olympia mini concert from 1963. All the songs are separately posted in videos, but because there is no connection between songs where Phil and Don talk, it's most likely the best idea to keep it in its entirety so we don't miss any interaction between the EB's.

With Mel Williams

This album can still be purchased on such as Amazon or Discogs.

In June 2016 I found 2 albums a Part 1 & Part 2. Both of the albums do not work for the US but they do for everyone else. I posted Part 2 into videos and attached the other one as a link. Then I put the album into this thread where albums are normally placed and proceeded to find all the songs for US members - this is on Page 3 #32, until recently there were 3 songs missing but I have now found all the songs for this album and because I want US members to know that the can hear them I am copying the links here which are on Page 3
